Skyway Villa respects your privacy. By opting into our SMS messaging service, you agree to the following terms regarding how we handle your data:
Data Collection: We will collect your name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number when you sign up for SMS updates. The information will be collected via the website contact form, email, rental agreement, or third-party reservation systems.
Data Usage: We use your data solely for sending updates, promotions, and reminders related to our products or services.
Data Security: We protect your data with secure storage measures to prevent unauthorized access.
Data Retention: We retain your information as long as you are subscribed to our SMS service. You may request deletion at any time.
MESSAGE AND DATA RATES MAY APPLY. Your mobile carrier may charge fees for sending or receiving text messages, especially if you do not have an unlimited texting or data plan.
Messages are recurring, and message frequency varies.

You can send HELP for additional assistance, and you will receive a text including our Phone number, email and website. We are here to help you.
Non-Sharing Clause: We do not share your data with third parties for marking purposes. Skyway Villa will not sell, rent, or share the collected mobile numbers.

Skyway Villa cares about community. A big part of that is caring about your privacy. We believe you deserve transparency, choice, and simplicity. Our goal is to help you take action to protect your privacy.
We are committed to safeguarding all nonpublic personal information that we may collect at any time during your tenancy or during the application process. We use this information initially for the sole purpose of evaluating your application for residency. Occasionally, we use nonpublic personal information in order to collect a debt.
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
Information we receive directly from you, on forms, and in other communications to or with us, whether in writing, in person, by telephone or any other means.
Information we receive from other sources such as current and former landlords, current employers, credit reporting agencies and resident screening services.
The community does not disclose nonpublic personal information to anyone, except as permitted or required by law, or as reasonably necessary in order to establish your identity when communicating with others as discussed above.
We restrict access of nonpublic personal information about you to only those persons who need to know in order to perform their job duties, for example, like the billing company. Further, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Skyway Villa’s Video Surveillance Policy, Effective: 8/1/2024
1. Scope and Purpose:
The Video Surveillance Policy is designed to regulate the use of video surveillance systems within Skyway Villa. The policy ensures the protection of individual privacy, adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and the responsible and ethical use of video surveillance systems. The policy covers closed circuit cameras, wireless cameras, and IP cameras.
2. Respect for Privacy and Non-Discrimination:
Video surveillance systems shall not be installed in areas where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy according to accepted social norms, such as restrooms. Additionally, the use of video surveillance systems shall be in full compliance with all Park policies, including those relating to nondiscrimination, harassment, and privacy. Conspicuous public signage must be displayed at the entrance of the property and as a deterrent in other areas.
3. Training and Acknowledgement:
All video surveillance operators must undergo training on technical, legal, and ethical use of video surveillance systems. They must provide written acknowledgment of having read and understood this policy before performing their duties. Operators are responsible for accessing surveillance images only to the extent permitted by this policy.
4. Storage and Data Security:
Surveillance images obtained through video surveillance systems must be stored in a secure location and protected from unauthorized access, modification, duplication, or destruction. Generally, surveillance images will be retained for no longer than sixty (60) days, unless a specific extension is requested in writing by the General Manager for purposes related to a criminal investigation.
5. Release of Recorded Material:
Information and results obtained through surveillance monitoring or recording will only be released when authorized by the Police or similar authority. All requests for the release of information and results obtained through surveillance monitoring or recording from external sources must be submitted to the office for approval prior to release.
6. Installation and Operation:
Video surveillance systems installed or utilized for ensuring the safety of persons and property at Skyway Villa should only be installed and operated following prior review and written approval by the General Manager. Installation and operation must comply with the procedures outlined in this policy. Video surveillance systems shall be operated by a limited number of authorized operators, with a registry maintained by the General Manager. Each authorized operator will receive appropriate training and certification of understanding of this policy.
7. Emergency Use of Video Surveillance Systems Equipment:
Exceptions to the installation and operation approval process may be made in the event of an emergency or other situation that reasonably appears to pose an imminent threat to the safety and security of the community, with the approval of the General Manager or Community Manager.
8. Sanctions for Non-Compliance:
Violations of this Video Surveillance Policy, including failure to avoid prohibited activities or obtain required approvals, will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Park policies and procedures.
9. Duration and Revocability:
This Video Surveillance Policy is subject to modification or revocation by the General Manager of Skyway Villa at any time and without notice.
Skyway Villa’s ALPR Policy, Effective 8/1/2024:
Per Civil Code section 1798.90.51(b), the following is the Skyway Villa usage and privacy policy
for the onsite ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) System:
1. Authorized Purposes for Using the ALPR System and Collecting ALPR Information:
The ALPR system will be used solely for enhancing the security and safety measures within the park premises. The authorized purposes include:
a. Monitoring and controlling access to the park for residents, guests, and authorized personnel.
b. Identifying and deterring criminal activities, such as theft, vandalism, and trespassing, within the park's common areas.
c. Assisting law enforcement in investigating and solving criminal incidents that occur within the park's vicinity.
d. Implementing traffic management and ensuring compliance with parking regulations for the convenience of residents and visitors.
2. Designation of Authorized Personnel and Training Requirements:
Only designated employees and independent contractors with specific job titles, such as the General Manager, Off-site Manager, and Independent Security Expert will be authorized to use or access the ALPR system and collect ALPR information. Prior to accessing the system, these individuals must undergo comprehensive training on the lawful and ethical use of the ALPR system, privacy protection, data security, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Monitoring and Compliance with Privacy Laws:
The ALPR system will be continuously monitored to ensure the security and integrity of the collected information. To maintain compliance with privacy laws, access to the ALPR data will be restricted to authorized personnel only. Regular audits and reviews will be conducted to
assess adherence to the policy and applicable privacy laws. Additionally, any potential data breaches or unauthorized access incidents will be promptly investigated and addressed.
4. Sale, Sharing, or Transfer of ALPR Information:
The ALPR information collected within the park premises will not be sold, shared, or transferred to any third-party entities for commercial or non-essential purposes. Exceptions may only occur when lawfully required by government authorities or law enforcement agencies for the investigation of criminal activities. In such cases, the release of information will be in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
5. Official Custodian/Owner of the ALPR System:
The General Manager of the park or a designated high-level management official will be the official custodian and owner of the ALPR system. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, operation, and compliance with the ALPR policy.
6. Measures for Ensuring Accuracy and Correcting Data Errors:
The ALPR system will employ reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of the collected data. Regular maintenance, calibration, and testing of the equipment will be carried out to minimize errors. In case of any identified data errors, a well-defined process will be in place to promptly correct the information and rectify any discrepancies.
7. Retention Period and Data Destruction Process:
ALPR information will be retained for a limited and necessary period. The retention period will be set to the minimum duration required for security and law enforcement purposes, with a maximum retention period of up to 60 days, consistent with general surveillance policy. After this period, the ALPR operator will ensure the secure and irreversible destruction of the retained ALPR information to safeguard the privacy of individuals.
